Have you ever wanted to make high protein and filling waffles while counting your points on WW? Everything you need to know about making waffles while on Weight Watchers is in this one post. 1 or 2 point waffles are pretty easy to achieve depending on whether you use protein powders or a prepared waffle mix.
I'm the type of person that prefers the prepared waffle mix because I can control the ingredients that I add to them. Plus, Kodiak Pancake and Waffle mix brand is easily found at every grocery store I've been too these days. If I see a recipe that calls for a protein powder that I've never heard of before, just to make a waffle, I'm out. Protein powder is expensive if you buy it by it in those huge containers! Some range from $20 to $30.00 a container! There are other ways of adding protein to your waffles by using eggs, milk, or Greek yogurt.
You can find the Kodiak Cakes Protein Pancake Power Cakes and waffle and pancake mix with the other pancake mixes in the grocery store. Check their website first to see if there is any located by you first. Usually near the baking aisle. I know these mixes are also available at Wal-Mart and Target. This post is not sponsored by this brand I just really like the products they have.

Ingredients Needed
- Kodiak cake protein mix - this is available in pretty much all grocery stores these days. I like it cause it's high in protein.
- Milk - Dairy does not like me at all so I go for a lactose free milk such as Fairlife. It also has more protein in it.
- Egg - The best type of eggs you can buy at the store are organic or free-range eggs, while others may prefer eggs from specific breeds of chickens
- Greek yogurt - is considered great for a variety of reasons. It is typically higher in protein and lower in sugar than regular yogurt, making it a good choice for those looking to maintain a balanced diet.
- Dash of vanilla - It is made by macerating and soaking vanilla beans in a mixture of water and Vodka. Use a good pure vanilla instead of the imitation vanilla extract.
- See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and measurements.
How to Make Waffles
Step 1: Heat a waffle iron over medium heat 3 to 5 setting.
Step 2: In a bowl whisk together the Kodiak cake mix, milk, egg, Greek Yogurt, and vanilla. Set aside.
Step 3: Spray your waffle iron with cooking spray and pour ½ cup of batter in the center, close and cook until golden brown and slightly crisp on the edges, about 3 to 4 minutes.
Repeat with the remaining batter or refrigerate the remaining.
Waffle Topping Ideas
You can top your waffles with so many different toppings.
- Sugar-Free maple syrup to keep the waffle the same amount of points
- Honey
- Your favorite zero point fruits. I like fresh berries, bananas, and kiwi to name a few.
- FF plain greek yogurt or FF Reddi Whip
- Chicken and Waffles
- Sausage Gravy
- Pizza Toppings - spread the waffle with pizza sauce, add cheese, and your favorite pizza toppings.
- Sugar Free Strawberry Sauce
- Zero Point Apple Butter
- Aldi's Friendly Farms Maple Vanilla Whipped Topping - in the Fall time when they have it in their stores.
Can you freeze waffles?
When the waffles have completely cooled, store them in freezer bags and place them in the freezer. When ready to eat take them out and toast them in a toaster, or reheat in the microwave.
I have a large waffle iron so that is why there are holes in the middle of the waffles. If you use a mini waffle iron this works better for that reason.

Is it 24g per waffle or for 4?

Excellent recipe. I used the Kodiak Oat and Cinnamon but for less points the buttermilk is good too!
